Dismissive people can be disheartening, exhaustive, and injurious. Regardless of circumstances, you want to be able to tell your story as you live it. If not, why are you on social media? It’s because you want to connect with others for acceptance and support.
It’s not to stalk people you hate, snoop around to ensure you’re living better than anyone else, nor gather information to share the tea.
Social media isn’t reality, but it is a real glimpse into someone’s spirit. People share positivity because they crave it. Others share snide remarks because they’re hurting and they need to dump it on someone else.
To the people that dismiss others with scoff, please know it’s heartbreaking.
If you look at everyone and realize we’re all on here to connect, you might be a little bit more compassionate with your interpretation.
The ladies and gents showing their bodies feel empowered. Let them do as they wish, you don’t have to follow them. Yay, free will!
The persistent selfie taker feels good enough about themselves. Yay, self-confidence!
The dogs, cats, and babies of social media are so loved. The news is terrifying with the evil actions towards innocent lives. Yay, people that love other souls so much that they want to share it with you!
The fashion, food, travel, and decor accounts are reminders of things we see every day or things we want to see more of. Yay, documenting this fleeting existence!
Look at social media and life with the love you seek rather than any hate you receive.
The light is there, you just have to find the right switch to make the darkness go away.
