En route for treatment

Taking a ride on the big jet plane… destination uncertain but I’m peacefully full of life and love while I’m on this voyage.

I was “that girl” who shared everything with everyone because I know how lonely life can feel. Time progresses whether we’re ready or not, there isn’t an option to make the sand of time fall in slow motion within the hourglass that’s held down to the counter with super glue.

I’m learning it’s best to not share everything with everyone because there are some things that you should never share with others and are best to keep to yourself. Sometimes, keeping things safe can also be helpful in creating success.

Things to consider holding back about are your goals, your personal relationship with your partner, family drama, and material belongings.

Goals:

Keeping your goals private can actually make you more likely to do them. Studies on goal setting have shown that telling people your goals and gaining praise for setting them can make your brain produce the endorphins that it would have had you achieved the goal. This makes you feel as though you have already achieved something, so you don’t work as hard in the long run to meet your goal.

Your Personal Life:

Your personal life is none of anyone else’s business, and telling others about things you get up to can open you to criticism and judgment. The choices you make in your life should be your own concern, as this will keep you from the unnecessary opinions of others, which can be harsh and hateful.

Keep certain aspects of your life a mystery and don’t share with others every detail of your relationship and personal life. It will make you come across as a much classier and worthy of a lot more respects than those who run their mouth about all of their bad habits.

Your Family Drama:

All families have drama; it’s a cross that every family has to bear. Yet, it is not something that you should be telling the world. Obviously, if there is something very wrong, telling close friends and partners can help to lighten the load and keep you supported.

Telling the world, however, can be disrespectful to those involved, and open your family to judgment. It is always best to solve your issues privately and properly with your family and the ones you love.

Courageous and Good Deeds:

Deliberately sharing your charitable deeds with others can very easily come across as arrogant and self-serving, and this should be avoided at all costs. It shouldn’t be a secret that you help those who are less fortunate, but it also shouldn’t be global news either.

The same goes for acts of bravery. We face challenges every day and your achievements in these challenges should be rewarded appropriately.

Looking for praise and appreciation makes you seem big-headed. Courageous acts are for others to deem courageous, otherwise, they are not all that courageous.

Material Belongings:

Everyone likes to have nice things, and if we could we would have all of the nice things possible, but not everyone likes to hear about all of the things you have been treating yourself with. Jealousy is an ugly color on most people, but arrogance is even uglier.

Keeping your material gains to yourself allows you to make conversation about much more pleasant things that won’t spark up the green-eyed monster in others, and you’ll be deemed a much more modest and likable person by the people around you.

Be picky:

Shout-out to everyone making progress that no one knows about because you’ve already learned how to pick people, places, and projects that brings tranquility into your life. I’m descending to this newfound space.

✨ 𝓉𝑜𝓅 𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑒 ✨ Compared to ✨ 𝓉𝑜𝓅 𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑒 ✨ Compared to other years, 40 posts in 2020 is scarcity at its finest when compared to other years of me posting almost every day. The time away has allowed me to get through one of the darkest years, so many of us have faced. While I’ve historically turned to my keyboard as a release of hardships, I’ve been unusually reclusive as I’ve focused on a silent health challenge, family, friends, work, and school as a guiding light. ✨ 2020 was a year I never really wanted, but I learned much about myself and tapped on inner strength to push through. ✨ Therefore I must be grateful for the lessons I’ve learned. 🙏 2021, please be kind. The world and I need it. #thankunext #surviveandthrive #ciao2020 #topnine

• 𝓂𝑜𝓇𝓃𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓌𝑜𝓇𝒹𝓈 • Today I choose to show up as the best “me” I can be, much like how the ocean shows us how to be. ☀️ The empowered me that battles my autoimmune diseases with radical approaches to heal all within me. 💪 The confident me. The me that handles both anything and everything the world tosses at me. 🌎 The me that faces the world with eyes of possibility, creativity, and solution. 🤩 The me with a heart full of hope and a head full of beautiful dreams. 🥰 The me that floods others with kindness and love. 🌊 The me that knows my strength is my best asset because it paves the way for all of my dreams, much like a powerful currant like the waters can be. 💛 The me that knows it will be okay. Because this life is much like water, it never stays the same as it ebbs and flows. It’s a mystical cycle that reminds us how small we are compared to the big picture of this journey called life. 🤗 How refreshing is that ocean breeze. • 𝓈𝒽𝒶𝓉𝓉𝑒𝓇𝑒𝒹 • #writersofinstagram #wanderer #transformationtuesday #bellaoflouisville ✨
{ 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒷𝒾𝓇𝓉𝒽𝒹𝒶𝓎 𝒸𝒽𝑒𝒸𝓀-𝒾𝓃 } It’s my birthday week, and while there is so much happening in our world that impacts each of us in a multitude of ways, there is still so much I’m grateful for. • I have a loving husband, kids, mom, extended family, and my fur babies. • I’m in remission with my autoimmune diseases. While I still have bad days, the good ones overshadow them. • I’m growing my career with education to continue chasing my dreams. • I have a loving roof over my head, cozy clothes on my back, and inner peace about things I cannot control. • It might not sound like much, but for me, life has given me more than I’ve ever prayed for. • I’ve “socially distanced” myself IRL and digitally with COVID to focus on family and my faith. I’m re-emerging into the world with a renewed sense of contentment and optimism. I’m ready to shed the 37-year-old shell to joyfully leap into 38 with all the hope I can muster. ✨ Cheers to this wild journey we call life! 🥃 #anotheryearwiser #cheers #celebrateeveryday
