Bourbons Bistro, Louisville’s original bourbon restaurant, will celebrate the anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition on December 5, 2018, with a barrel roll parade down Frankfort Avenue. Bourbons Bistro owner and Bourbon expert Jason Brauner will lead the parade, rolling a barrel of his Maker’s Mark Private Select Bourbon from The Wine Rack (2632 Frankfort Ave, Louisville, KY 40206) to Bourbons Bistro (2255 Frankfort Ave., Louisville, KY 40206).
A celebration of Repeal Day will continue throughout the evening with specials including $1 well bourbon shots and $4 off appetizers from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to join the parade, which will gather at The Wine Rack beginning at 4:30 pm. The parade will depart for Bourbons Bistro at 5:00 pm.

On this day in History: December 5, 1933, the 21st Amendment to the US Constitution was ratified, thereby repealing the 18th Amendment, which banned the manufacture, sale, and distribution of alcohol in the United States.
