Since my husband is quite the bourbon guy these days, I didn’t “ruin” the bourbon with a lot of simple syrup and mint… just added a little of both. I “smacked” the mint before garnishing a cocktail because it releases that lovely minty aroma. Obviously, muddling mint in a drink releases its refreshing smell and flavor but again, I couldn’t “ruin” the greatness that Willett has so it rested upon the ice instead.
