ABOUT CTC: Formerly Walden Theatre & Blue Apple Players (both founded 1976), the organization merged on Jan. 1, 2015. Under the umbrella of CTC, the subsets of Walden Theatre Conservatory & Blue Apple Outreach work together to annually provide theatre education opportunities for approx. 44,100 youth (PreK-12) from 252 area schools, including most Title 1 JCPS schools, and 7,448 adults in 74 zip codes regionally.
To ensure arts access for youth from all socioeconomic backgrounds, CTC annually budgets $30,000+ in its operating budget to help meet every request for need-based Conservatory financial aid with some level of support. Each year CTC starts anew to secure operating and program funds. Your support for ACTING UP will have long-lasting impact, including allowing CTC to reach its mission-aligned, strategic goal to provide Conservatory drama-based programs to youth across Louisville: http://www.commonwealththeatre.org/
