04.19.18 | Louisville

What: A Night of ACTING UP with Commonwealth Theatre Center
When: April 26, 2018 ~ 5:30 to 9:00 p.m.
Tickets: $40/ $50 at the door or online: https://louisvilletickets.com/events/acting-up

A new fundraising event to support financial aid for children who cannot afford arts education programming on their own.

Take a trip through 5 decades of theatre and get a taste of Commonwealth Theatre Center’s enormous contribution to 40+ years of excellence in performing arts education and performance in Louisville and beyond.

Tours depart periodically and will feature short, exclusive performances by accomplished Walden Theatre Conservatory alumni: Charlie Sexton, Donald Kimmel, Emily Albrink, John Austin Clark, Neill Robertson, and Becca Willenbrink.

Dress for the decade of your teen years (contest alert!), buy into a balloon pop raffle (they’re all winners!), shake things up to the music that never stopped moving you, and eat/drink your way through a finely crafted night of ACTING UP!

Two drink tickets are included with each ticket purchase.

Featuring delicious food from your favorites:
Feast BBQ, Mayan Café, Wiltshire Pantry, Sweets by Millie, and more.

ABOUT CTC: Formerly Walden Theatre & Blue Apple Players (both founded 1976), the organization merged on Jan. 1, 2015. Under the umbrella of CTC, the subsets of Walden Theatre Conservatory & Blue Apple Outreach work together to annually provide theatre education opportunities for approx. 44,100 youth (PreK-12) from 252 area schools, including most Title 1 JCPS schools, and 7,448 adults in 74 zip codes regionally.

To ensure arts access for youth from all socioeconomic backgrounds, CTC annually budgets $30,000+ in its operating budget to help meet every request for need-based Conservatory financial aid with some level of support. Each year CTC starts anew to secure operating and program funds. Your support for ACTING UP will have long-lasting impact, including allowing CTC to reach its mission-aligned, strategic goal to provide Conservatory drama-based programs to youth across Louisville: http://www.commonwealththeatre.org/
