mission statement |noun | a formal summary of the aims and values of a company, organization, or individual.
My mission, as I have chosen to accept it, is to find peace with exactly who and what I am. To take pride in my thoughts, my appearance, my talents, my flaws and to stop this incessant worrying that I can’t be loved as I am.
This mission will come along with the aspirations to be a source of positivity, love, and insight. Does it make me an expert? Nope. Instead it directs me a person that chooses to post about my life, the people and things I love, my journey, the journey of others that allow me to share theirs, and last but not least, a basic human being experiencing life and sharing my takeaways and sights on the topic I choose to post about.
We’re all sharing the air of our planet so we might as well make each one a connected one. We connect with one another in such unique ways that are relative to our ability to be vulnerable and not be afraid of judgement. Sure the judgement stings a bit because it’s not the kindest form of impact but we can either choose to make that impact one that is fatal or we can allow the dent to have a profound effect that we grow through.
My blog started with the intention to be a beauty blog about being beautiful from the inside out. While it continues to grow with me, I must say that I believe it’s stayed within the same wheelhouse with a few distractions and growth moments as listed above as dents that have had a profound effect upon my life thus causing the necessity of growth while never throwing away my original blueprint.
While we’re still within the first six months of 2017, I’m making the rest of the year all about the things that will matter to me in the long run, help me grow, giving back, sharing my journey and much more. The most beautiful part of our lives is that it’s never too early or late to start all over. Today is either day one or the passing of the commitment to ourselves and saying it will happen one day.
Find your personal mission statement with the following:
Who are you at your core?
What is your goals and intentions?
When do your have ah-ha moments?
Where do you feel the most alive?
Why do you hold those beliefs?
How do you want to remembered in life and after?
Here’s a great quote to get you along your way:
“Allow your passion to become your purpose and one day it will become your profession.”
Intention is everything. Make 2017 a year of intention and purpose. It’s a year, a month, week, day, hour, and even second that you’ll never get back. Make it count.
