I found this book when I was in Mahonia a few weeks ago to give to an aspiring woman that I know. I didn’t know it at the time but she had a huge career shift that is uprooting her and catapulting her into a new, exciting, and mildly intimidating realm. This book will hopefully inspire her heart and mend her mind when she has any moments of doubt.
My favorite quote is from Lisa Hunt, a designer / artist in Brooklyn, NY.
“Most times my inner voice tells me in a flash what I want and need, and whom to trust. I’m learning to honor that inner voice.”
This spoke volumes to me and the shifts I’m allowing in my life. It took me 32 years to go down the path of self-love and self-acceptance. While it was only two years ago, I feel as though I’ve learned so much.
Loving myself and accepting all the weirdness that each of us encompass doesn’t make life any less painful or more joyful but it provides a massive amount of appreciation for the lessons that open my mind and heart; professionally and personally.
Treat yo shelves, a lady boss, or aspiring light in your life to this lovely collection of insights from over 100 women. You won’t regret it.
