Eckhart Tolle once wrote that “The past has no power over the present moment.”
Smart man.
Very smart man that clearly never wore a pair of uncomfortable heels. I’m kidding but really. Sure, they look amazing on but it pure brutality midway through wearing them and can feel that way for several days after.
But one thing about pain is that it actually teaches a lot. It teaches you how strong you are and that you can actually survive things you never dreamed you could.
Make note of what brought you the pain by remembering the name brand, size, cut, style, and any other important detail so you can avoid them in the future.
But if you’re into the pain ignore my advice all together.
Before you go, I hope you realize it’s not just about the shoes. The shoes can be a metaphor for a bigger topic that can be applied to various pain sources.
Sadly pain happens whether you want it to or not but if you know what hurts you, avoid it if it isn’t what you desire.
Much like these Manolo Blahnik, I love them and I sadly purchased them on a whim because I saved more than 75% but I realize Manolo and I are star-crossed lovers that shall meet again later in another lifetime.
Life is about finding what heals.
Throwing up the deuces.
Later heels.
