My gal pal and fellow blogger, Ashlea of Louisville It Mom, asked me to join her and raise awareness for The United State of Women.
I have a severe problem jumping at anything / everything positive that anyone puts in front of me so of course I said yes.
Upon saying yes, I went to their website and instantly knew I had to jump on the bandwagon to hopefully help make a difference.
As a girl power promoter I feel it’s my duty to join Ashlea and join this online rally to spark change locally which will create a domino effect into the ripple of our every day lives.
What is it?
The White House is welcoming over 5,000 women to the United State of Women Summit in Washington, DC. Their goal is to engage with women and men to bring us all to focus on the current state of gender equality around the world and look to of issues including economic empowerment, health, and wellness; the Affordable Care Act; and changing care delivery; the all-day summit will serve to rally women together to make a powerful difference in our individual communities.
How to get involved?
As we all know, there’s a lot that’s been done by and for women and girls, but there’s still so much to do.
