When your mama is “ecstatic” for the first time in nine years, you take note.
It’s not for these beads you see, it’s for this new chapter in her life that’s starting this weekend. A move, a car, and a dream with a plan.
The best part of it all is that on this day, 9 years ago, my mama made me this necklace and bracelet. To anyone else it may not hold any value but to me it’s priceless because at that time she couldn’t tie her own shoe laces.
By the grace of God, she was slowly rehabilitated to live independently today.
Determination proves that life is what you make it. It’s never easy and we have to fight for it but it’s beautiful when we glance backwards to see how far we’ve come and realize it has come to fruition.
