We all have moments where we are sad or frustrated with situations that are inevitable. Making yourself grateful during that time is one of the biggest challenges for a struggling mind.
Have you ever taken a step back to watch the rest of the world and what’s happening while you are going through a hard time?
When we do, it allows gratitude to step forward. Life is hard and will knock you down and keep you there if you let it. Instead of becoming trapped into that way of thinking try to think of the positive side of the situation; you’re alive. That’s a gift in itself.
While I was at the Norton Cancer Institute with my mother last week we took a break from her appointments and spent a bit of time in their meditation room. That space is beautiful beyond measure and provides a visual and physical space for you to collect your thoughts, cry, pray, rejoice, or any other moment you need to get through the journey of being there.
Here are just a few photos I snapped while I was there.
My mama couldn’t visualize how to walk through the maze to get to the center so I held her hand and guided her through. Just like she did for me many moons ago.
Manifesting gratitude isn’t an easy task. But if we are open and willing to be positive in the darkest moments we can cultivate it through our positive mindset with grateful thoughts.
