It’s Monday and there’s a million things on your plate for today but you don’t have to stress out. Take a step back and realize the power you have in the situations that are creating stress for you.
You may find you’re powerless in some situations. If this is the case the only thing you can control is your actions and your mindset about it.
Realizing you can’t fix everything and everyone is a huge milestone. It means that you have the ability to see both sides and that you cannot fix, manage, or control anything or anyone but yourself.
Instead, be calm. Take a deep breath, say the serenity prayer, and move on. Life’s too short to stress about things that are out of your realm of control.
Stay cool, calm, and collected. You’re better off letting go of stress than hanging on to it.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot say, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference, just for today.
