Getting Life Together with Gordmans

07.03.18 | Life

* Warning: This blog post contains topics for those that want to dig deep. Don’t worry surface dwellers, you can scroll to the bottom for fashion talk… you’ll never believe how much this outfit cost!

Into the deep, we dig…

“Fake it till you make it.”

Who came up with that saying and why is it true? The internet offers no exact association with whom started it. However, it feels real because in today’s fast-paced life we are not allowed to have any downtime to recoup after bad experiences.

The severe or minimal impact that each experience has on life is only manageable by your personal ability to overcome difficult people, places, and things… all equating to an individual experience that can only be seen through our eyes as we process life. But growth is mandatory for survival.

So how can you grow with little downtime? You can fake it by trying your best every day and eventually, the growth happens around you and within you.

With each new experience impacting us in different ways; that can either change you for the good or in some severe cases it will break you but it eventually comes down to a decision you have to make in life about processing things that are difficult and not run away from them but instead and embrace it as this is the only way to gain a deeper level of perspective and strength.

That “old saying” in the first line of this blog post rings true to this day when you see me out and I’m wearing all black I do it as a safeguard; as onyx is the color of strength but that’s digging deep.

If you desire surface topics on fashion, feast your mind upon these reasons to rock black year-round!

1) It stays cleaner longer and doesn’t show how much you’re sweating right through your outfit.

2) Black is always appropriate to wear.

3) Mix and match smorgasbord. It goes with anything.

4) It’s sliming.

5) It’s chic according to Coco Chanel.
