9 years … 108 months … 3285 days … 283824000 seconds …
That’s about how long I’ve known this woman and in that time we’ve both transitioned into strong women. Not from the grace of measured time but by the amount of life in those years, months, days, and seconds.
Watching this woman lead a meeting today blew me away. I watched her with glittery eyes knowing all that there is that makes her who she is and how she proceeds with such an intense gumption.
She’s in that place everyone aspires to be … Living the most authentic life and doing it with such courage, beauty, and grace.
As I watched her, I couldn’t help but think of this poem:
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I’m not cute or built to suit a fashion model’s size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I’m telling lies.
I say,
It’s in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I’m a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That’s me.
