A dear friend gave this to me when my guy popped the question. She told me that it was my own “little world” and she advised me to escape to it anytime I felt stressed throughout the next six months.
I did just that.
This might be little but it truly fills my heart just by glancing at it on my desk. It feels meditative because it reminds me to slow down.
At moments I’ll pretend that it is actually a place to escape to. It’s obviously just a daydream, but who can resist the idea of a world where I can fix my mothers illnesses, mend a friends heart, provide endless happiness for my insta-kids, prevent heart ache, et cetera.
Since escaping into another world isn’t an option, we must work through it all; good, sad, and bad.
But I highly recommend having this or something like it that you can use to help meditate, something you can read to soothe your soul and ease your mind, a place you can walk to clear your mind and breathe fresh air, or a song you can sing when you’re feeling blue. Seek a healthy alternative to help get you back on track.
Feel what you’re going through; explore it, learn the lesson it has for you, and let it go.
